MY HEAVEN WILL SMELL OF BONFIRE

My facebook status the day following read "My heaven will smell of bonfire".  I can't dream up any addition to this evening that would have made it more perfect.  The weather was ideal (on the chilly side: perfection), sand between my toes, a big blanket, a game of scrabble, hot dogs and s'mores.  And the sunset, just look at this sunset!

Aside from all of the goods that make up an ideal beach bonfire, within the crowd I was amongst people I love, and just as important, people who love me.  Nothing can instill warmth and comfort more than knowing you're in the presence of kind-hearted people who genuinely care about you.

A tad honeyed and sentimental perhaps, but it was that kind of night.
